I enjoy mental and physical challenges. From solving problems that force you to think differently, to physical tasks that require hard work and determination. Additionally im a fast lerner and can adapt to situations that arise. I also love to travel, seeing all the different cultures and lifestyles is an exciting and eye opening experience. I have been to 19 different countries so far and plan on seeing many more.
My mission is to be skilled in many different areas of back-end programming and mobile applications. I'd like to work on many different projects in order to continuously build on my skills and create a program that has a positive impact on the lives of its users in the future.
I started by teaching myself the basics of programming mobile applications, then joined a games development course and gained some experience using Unity. After this i joined Just IT where i was trained in many other languages.
I believe decision making should always be a logical process. Finding as many solutions and alternatives as possible then weighing up all the options available is what helps to achieve the best results.
I find puzzles and mental workouts like sudokus and puzzles satisfying. Although the process can be mind-numbingly fraustrating, like finding bugs in programmes, the successful end result is always worth the struggle.
My last job as a senior support worker forced me to be able to adapt to the clients mood and behaviour. His mood and behaviour could change at any moment forcing me to always be aware of his surroundings and change the plan for the day when nescessary.
I previously worked for a social care company, Medstar, caring for a 53 year old client with autism and challenging behaviour. He was occasionally violent. However by working closely with the other members of staff, any problems were handled as safely as possible.
At the age of 7 i got my first games console and was fascinated by the games and how they and wondered how they were made. This was the spark of my interest in technology.
My cousin's dad created a game on the pc for my cousin and I to play. I could not get my head around the fact that it was made from words and numbers on a screen.
This only peaked my interest further.
IT and programming was not big in my secondary school but it did not deter me from wanting a career in working with computers. With the help of my cousin and his dad we spent a day taking my old PC apart and building a new one.
Once complete i could see the how each added part had improved its performance which solidified my decision to work with computers in the future.
I was unhappy with the subjects i was doing at A-level in my secondary school 6 form, Imad ethe decision to join Lansdowne college where i managed to pick up computer science as an A-level.
For my computer science project i tried to build an economics revion app using the Android SDK. My teacher had no experience in this language so began to teach myself how to code.
Even though the app was unsuccessful the experience only made me more determined to learn and become a software developer

After leaving college I started working full-time for the social care company Medstar. I realised reach my goal i would need to find a good course and the money to fund it. Eventually i found an online training course learning how to code games using Unity.
After working in social care for 2 years i decided it was time to pursue my dream career in computer programming. I began emailing companies and applying for work experience
In January I found out about the Just IT software development course and couldnt wait to get started! My aim is to develop my skills in order to build something potntially life changing in the future.
